Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs)

  • SIPs are a sandwiched assembly made of expanded polystyrene in the center, and consisting of Oriented Strand Board (O.S.B.) for the outer shells.
  • Panels are raised as sheets to wrap the frame.

We suggest the use of Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) to provide an energy efficient shell for your timber frame. SIPs are high performance, energy efficient building panels that are used for walls, roofs and/or floors. SIPs can also be used independent of the frame to create stand-alone structures.
